With 100 incubators and 10,000 startups, Paris Region has a thriving ecosystem which significantly supports the French and international entrepreneurship and cutting-edge innovation.
The Paris startup scene has boomed in the last few years and now covers a wide range of sectors: Food Tech, Sports, E-health, Tourism, IT, Green Tech, Fintech, amongst others.
The biggest European Innovation Hub, managed by Paris&Co and dedicated to Cultural & Creative Industries and Digital Content, Le Cargo, has been recently launched in Paris. The world’s largest business incubator located in the renovated Halle Freyssinet is the next major project for Paris.
7 clusters bring together key players, research centers and startups to develop synergies and stimulate the emergence of collaborative and innovative projects.
These clusters bring together nearly 4,000 members including 3,230 companies and over 500 labs. The Clusters: Advancity / Astech / Cap Digital / Finance Innovation / Medicen / Mov’eo / Systematic.
In order to facilitate connections between startups and corporations, an innovative initiative has been launched with the Open Innovation Club gathering 70 members mostly from the CAC 40 (French stock market index).
At the heart of Europe, Paris welcomes key events to foster this up-and-coming ecosystem: Futur en Seine, International Innovation Awards (Grand Prix de l’innovation), Hacking of the City Hall (Hacking de l’Hôtel de ville), Cloud Week Paris, Game Connection, VivaTech, Paris Founders Event, etc.
